Every season on The Bachelorette, there’s quite a bit of drama. Often it comes from the men, the lead and the crazy scenarios the producers set up for them. Every year, there’s also a visit from a guest star or two, who often brings levity to one of the odd group dates that have the men participating in some odd activity, ostensibly to endear themselves to the star of the show. Rachel Lindsay, who just started her own journey to find love on The Bachelorette Monday night, revealed in a Yahoo TV interview just what celebrities are going to show up. It turns out there’s a big-name talk show host, a former NBA superstar, and an A-list couple. The talk show host is Ellen Degeneres, and fans of her show will already have a heads up on how that date goes. People revealed back in March that Ellen hosts Rachel and six men on her stage. The theme of the date is “Chippendales,” according to Buddy TV and the men play “Never Have I Ever.” The NBA star is Kareem Abdul-Jabbar, who puts the men through some basketball drills. The athlete made Lindsay feel a little star struck, as she revealed in the Yahoo TV video, even though she knew he was coming. Last on the list of big-name celebrities stopping by for Rachel is Mila Kunis and Ashton Kutcher, who she said knew a lot about marriage. It turns out the two stars are also big fans of The Bachelor and The Bachelorette, so they are in a good position to provide some advice. He said that she’s tough but more sensitive than she originally lets on. Lindsay also has access to more men this year than another Bachelorette, with 31 suitors to choose from. Harrison let loose a little spoiler by saying she’s not exactly heartbroken to say goodbye to one guy this year, although he would not reveal whom. “Even the first rose ceremony was hard for her. Not because she was tired, but because she hated sending men home. She hated hurting anyone’s feelings. I think you’ll see that every single goodbye is hard for her this season — spoiler alert: except for one guy — and as the pool of men starts dwindling, each rose ceremony takes even more of a toll on her.” Rachel was also the first Bachelorette to met some of her men early. Viewers of last season’s After the Final Rose, when Nick Viall and his winner, Vanessa, finally emerged as an engaged couple, saw Rachel get a first glimpse of a few of her men. That had never been done before, although it remains to be seen whether any of those guys will ultimately prove to be any of Rachel’s favorites.
Rachel Lindsay appeared on Jimmy Kimmel Live on Monday night, and the host, who likes to predict who will be left standing at the end, teased Lindsay that she must be engaged to Peter, his pick to win it all. Lindsay was mum on the point, of course, although she did say she had filmed the finale a mere 10 days prior and was still engaged to her winner. According to his ABC bio, Peter is a business owner who spent three months in Greece for a modeling gig. For the moment, however, he’s just one of dozens of men vying for Rachel’s attention.
