Pippa Middleton, James Matthews Honeymoon: Newlyweds To Spend A Week At A Marlon Brando-Owned Island

Pippa Middleton and James Matthews have finally exchanged their vows and officially tied the knot, putting an end to speculation about Meghan Markle’s attendance in the wedding ceremony. Now that the celebration is over, the newlyweds are headed for their honeymoon – and according to a report, the couple will be spending it in French Polynesia. According to insiders who shared to Mail Online, Pippa and James will arrive on a small island in The Pacific, called Tetiaroa, tomorrow. This two-and-a-half square mile island was once owned by cultural icon Marlon Brando after he bought it in the 1960s. According to the report, Mr. and Mrs. Matthews will be serenaded by garland-wearing Polynesians once they arrive and they will be in the area for a week. Villas on the luxurious eco-resort cost £3,000 (about $3,900) a night and they come with an infinity pool, outdoor bath, solar electricity, rocking chairs and generators that are powered by coconut oil. Marlon Brando found Tetiaroa in 1960 while he was scouting for a location for his film, Mutiny on the Bounty. He immediately fell in love with the place that he eventually purchased it. The respected actor had a home built on the island without spoiling the environment. He used it as a place of retreat where he can take a break from the hectic Hollywood life. The island then became the eco-resort The Brando following the actor’s death in 2004. News revealed. The insider added that the couple will take into consideration the most important factor in choosing a place for the honeymoon, which is somewhere they can feel that they’re alone after their hectic wedding. Pippa and James felt stressed after all the preparation for the wedding that they just want to get away and feel as if no one else is around, the report mentioned. The couple reportedly calls their honeymoon getaway “the escape.” Contrary to the report about a Tahitian island vacation, the couple is said to have booked a chalet that they have stayed in before. Reportedly, Pippa and James are down for some hiking, biking and outdoor activities. “The wedding started out as such a small thing and has kind of escalated into this huge circus,” the source continued. The couple should be excited now that the celebration is over and they see their honeymoon as the “perfect chance to just unwind.” Whether the newlyweds will go for an unconventional French Alps break or a gorgeous island in the French Polynesia remains to be seen. What’s certain is that these two deserve the privacy they need. James Matthews and Pippa Middleton exchanged their wedding vows at St. Mark’s Church in Englefield, Berkshire in front of 200 guests. It was a star-studded celebration attended by Pippa’s sister, Kate the Duchess of Cambridge, Prince William, Prince Harry and tennis pro Roger Federer. Kate and William’s kids, Prince George and Princess Charlotte were also in attendance acting as pageboy and bridesmaid at the ceremony. James’ brother and Made in Chelsea star Spencer Matthews was also at the event and was the best man. The wedding reception of Pippa and James [Image by Neil P. The wedding reception was held at the Middleton family home where a glass marquee was installed to accommodate the guests for the evening party. Reportedly, the installation cost around $130,000.
