Angelina Jolie had appeared to be experiencing extreme weight-loss following her split from Brad Pitt. The beauty shocked the masses when she shared she would be filing for divorce from the Allied star, back on September 19, 2016. Jolie swiftly found herself a part of a media circus along with her estranged husband and partner of 12 years. The intense custody battle that was initially made quite public, along with the divorce proceedings, clearly took their toll on both Angelina and Brad. In recent months, the former couple have stepped out separately looking quite thin and tired in appearance. It was at this point that the world saw an emotional Jolie, clearly suffering, after she had previously been viewed as somewhat cold and unfeeling for her actions against Brad, which involved an FBI investigation for abuse, all of which he was quickly cleared for. People recalls Jolie’s words during her interview with BBC, when she was asked about how she is coping. “I don’t want to say very much about that, except to say it was a very difficult time and… and we are a family and we will always be a family, and we will get through this time and hopefully be a stronger family for it. Many, many people find themselves in this situation. My whole, my family… we’ve all being through a difficult time. My focus is my children, our children… and my focus is finding this way through. We are and forever will be a family. I am coping with finding a way through to make sure that this somehow makes us stronger and closer.” Since Jolie and Pitt agreed to seal court documents in early January for the sake of the children and to keep the proceedings out of media headlines, things have settled for the stars and they appear to have been working amicably for a common goal. The divorce has recently been finalized and Pitt has agreed to give over full custody to Jolie. The heartthrob was sure to share that his six children are still everything to him and his main focus. In regard to health, Angelina has appeared to gain back weight and new claims have been made that there are various procedures behind her weight increase and healthier appearance.
