Murmansk railway station reconstruction: over a billion RUB

Five biggest railway stations are to be repaired till 2015 within Oktyabrskaya railway hub. Murmansk station is also on the list.

The history of Murmansk railway roots back to 1916 when the construction works were over after 1.5 years. The railway station appeared a short while after the World War II in 1954. Since the time of construction, the station had no significant repairs and is currently worn out.

The reconstruction project 2009 has been prepared and will demand over one billion RUB for its implementation. 40% of the project cost is supposed to be covered from external investments.
