Everybody knows about SEVTEK in Murmansk region. I mean, all interested companies in the energy sector. But what are the other possibilities for business matchmaking? OK, Interprise Barents takes place from time to time, what else?

I will be in Murmansk at the SEVTEK from Thursday 6th, afternoon until Saturday 8th afternoon. With my contact to North-Norwegian enterprises, I can offer the service of Innovation Norway Finnmark – establishing contacts between interested Russian or other entreprises active in Northwest-Russia and potensial North-Norwegian counterpartners. I would like to learn a little about the experiences of the participants from the 2008 SEVTEK? This page could be a nice place for a free discussion about our experiences and if our expectations according to the SEVTEK were fullfilled or not?

Alma wrote 1 month ago “I look forward to the SEVTEK”. I also looked forward to the SEVTEK. Unfortunately I first showed up Thursday afternoon and I therefore cannot have any opinion about the SEVTEK-activities on Thursday. Friday was pretty calm an only very few guests found their way to the Ice Stadium. Because of my experience on Friday I am disappointed. Will it be a SEVTEK in 2009?

Tell a little about Your experiences.

My experience is sort of ambiguous. That was damn cold in the Palace… Well, that was an Ice (!) Palace anyway. Seems logical here. The organizers messed up our names both on the stand and in their catalogues. That was another portion of frustration. To go further, I should say that the exhibition was very specific and somewhat limited to particular Shtokman interests. Anyway we were very popular among elderly people engaged in some ‘give-me-something business’ leaving our stand pocketful of pens and chocolate bars… That was not our target group, but that was almost our only audience. People say that an exhibition of this kind was even less ‘populated’ in Moscow a month ago. Luckily, here we found interesting people and B2B meetings were ok despite the fact that almost everyone was late and some just skipped the meetings.
This is not a matter of disappointment or frustration. That was a part of work that company has sometimes to do in order to show off or whatever :)

Actually this International Economic relations has led to the creation of several free trade zones all around the world. As a result of the creation of the free trade zones it has been possible to promote free trade on a global basis.
