'Little People, Big World': Jacob Roloff Vlogs About Real Reason Why He Left Show And Might Not Come Back

Since he left Little People, Big World, Jacob Roloff has been very critical of not only the show, but also his strict Christian upbringing and his family’s beliefs. He’s also made some strongly-worded remarks about the TLC reality series on his social media pages and personal blog. But in the more relaxed setting of his recently-launched vlog, Jacob discussed the reasons why he left LPBW, why he’s more comfortable running his own YouTube vlog with his girlfriend, and how he really feels about the show at this point in his life. Earlier this month, former Little People, Big World star Jacob Roloff, the youngest of Matt and Amy Roloff’s four children at 20-years-old, started a video blog co-starring his girlfriend Isabel (“Izzy”) and chronicling their adventures on the road. The Inquisitr reported that the launch of the Rock & Roloff vlog was curiously timed, coinciding with the premiere of Little People, Big World‘s latest season, leading many fans of the show to ask Jacob why he isn’t on LPBW anymore. That’s what motivated him to clear the air on the third and latest episode of his video blog. In Touch Weekly quoted Jacob Roloff’s vlog, where, about one minute into the new video, he explains why he enjoys doing his own thing, as opposed to starring in Little People, Big World with the rest of his family. “I saw a comment on something and somebody was asking why I don’t just do a show since I’m filming myself right now. There’s two ways to do the filming thing — one way is through the show, maybe and the other way is through myself and vlogs. It’s just more free doing it myself, I can do anything, I can say anything, I can talk about anything — I can show whatever I want.” ‘Little People, Big World’: Jacob Roloff Starts Video Blog To Share Life On The Road https://t.co/CMflPiAdrS — RSS News Hub (@RSSNewsHub) May 6, 2017 In relation to his stint on Little People, Big World, Jacob Roloff added that he’s far more comfortable that people don’t recognize him for his role on the show, but rather see him as an average person who can tell his story as he sees it, and not as a reality series like LPBW explains it. “I’ve been doing the show for so long, it’s just … why not do something else? If somebody were to say, ‘oh, you’re Jacob from the show,’ I don’t want that. I’d rather have, ‘you’re Jacob from my own thing.’ But even more than that, I would rather have, just nothing. Just ‘hey, what’s your name?’ People don’t recognize me, it’s great, like I get to explain where I come from in my own words, rather than them seeing it and coming up with their own preconceptions.” THE WORLD IS OUR (ROCKY MOUNTAIN) OYSTER. A post shared by Jacob Roloff (@jacobroloff45) on May 16, 2017 at 10:12am PDT Jacob also addressed the numerous requests from Little People, Big World fans that he return to the show. Though he said that his acrimonious departure from the TLC series had brought him to where he is right now, he denied feeling resentful at this point in his life, saying he’s “moved on,” and that his choice to leave the show and be his own man was a “natural progression,” rather than a product of being rebellious, as he’s often been painted by Little People, Big World fans. “Rebellious” may be a rather strong word to use, but it’s clear that Jacob’s path is different from the one taken by his other family members who remain on Little People, Big World. Jacob Roloff did, after all, make negative comments about Christianity on his personal blog site, while also making critical remarks about what he sees is the scripted nature of an ostensible reality series such as LPBW. But as the Inquisitr opined earlier this week, that might not mean he is estranged from his family, or that his so-called “rebellion” has put him seriously at odds with them.
