Abby Lee Miller Says LA Studio May Be Up For Rent, But It Is Still Open; What Is The Future Of The ALDC?

Earlier today, it was confirmed that Abby Lee Miler’s Los Angeles branch of her Abby Lee Dance Center (ALDC) is up for rent, but Abby herself has stated that the dance studio is still open for business. The Dance Moms star is making the round and appearing on television and doing personal appearances in order to rake in some extra cash before she heads to the clink for a year and a day for bankruptcy fraud and concealing money from the US government. According to a spokeswoman for the ALDC, the building’s owner has put up the studio for rent, but it is unclear why this is the case or if it has anything to do with Abby heading to prison. “Classes are available seven days a week, with private sessions also available. Until it’s bought, the Abby Lee Dance Company shall continue being a tenant.” A Dance Moms storyline during last season showed the original location of the Abby Lee Dance Company in Pittsburgh being taken over by another tenant who was using the location for dance classes. Abby Lee Miller broke down in tears seeing someone else run classes in her original space, and likely also over the stress of the impending court case. Likely, she will use the money to pay her fines as well as to give herself a cushion for when she gets out of prison. The Dance Moms star has confessed to being scared that she will have further money issues when she gets out of prison and won’t be able to pay rent on her buildings. However, it is totally unclear whether or not the ALDC will even continue to run while Abby Lee Miller is in prison. She has been running the studios herself for a number of years, and one would think that she would be able to temporarily pass the baton to someone else who might be able to do the work for Abby. But if the building is being rented out to someone else, or even sold, this might spell the end of an era, and the end of the ALDC in general. But, this definitely isn’t the end of Abby Lee Miller. The Dance Moms star has said that she is going to use the time in prison to become better at accounting, as well as to work on projects she has up her sleeve. She is interested in writing a tell-all book, which she hopes to publish once she’s out of prison. She stated recently in an interview that she has a new scripted show in the works, and teased that it is where Dance Moms left off. She also says she is going to use the time to focus on herself. “I have a new show and other things happening and if people are going to come visit me…at least they can come there. Maybe I’m fooling myself and I won’t be able to do any work. I have some stuff to crank out. Do I need 24 hours a day to put lotion on my elbows? I was never selfish. I was never focused on me, me, me all the time. I was always focused on somebody else,” she said. Abby lee Miller will have to self-report within 45 days of her sentencing.
